Dense Stone Asphalt (DSA) - also used for mattresses in the same way as Open Stone Asphalt (OSA).
OSA is porous whereas DSA has a higher mastic content which fills all the voids in the mixture resulting in a dense, stronger material.
OSA use more for scour/erosion protection. . .
DSA used more for impact protection.
